Coral Gables Old Spanish

Scope of Work: Major renovation of an historic 4 bedroom/3 bath 1924 Old Spanish masterpiece into a contemporary villa honoring the home’s original splendor. The project added 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a swimming pool and extensive landscaping. On completion featured on Coral Gables TV network and included in several city home tours.

Client Feedback: “When we saw how this beautiful house had been disrespected by previous “renovations” we knew that the city deserved to see again what a gem Walter de Garmo had created. John was meticulous about the custom kitchen cabinetry and accommodation of our imported French enamel stove. The custom encaustic tile installed in the loggia was installed as per the 1920’s method with no grout. The selection of keystone for the entry pathway and pool patio was perfect and half the rate of vendors we had found. This was the first home In Coral Gables to install aluminum frame hurricane windows with the appearance of a wood. These are just a few of the spectacular touches that made us so satisfied with John’s management of our project.”
